Ultra Enterprise 450 Server.
I replaced the CD drive with a new DVD drive and installed Solaris
10. Obviously the unit powers up, responds to all standard
commands. Comes with 2 fully functioning 20GB Seagate drives.
The floppy drive does not function, but is easily replaceable.
Also has a mini tape drive. The security lock key has broken
off in the lock of the main exterior console. It is easy to
turn the position with a screwdriver. Once in the 'on'
position, there is no reason to change position unless you are
rebooting or something. The rest of the key is taped to the
unit.To access the device you'd need a Sun type 5 keyboard
and mouse, or you would talk to it via another computer using a null
modem connection. A null modem adapter is provided with the
unit. I also have a monitor which I'll throw in for free. All
major docs are available from Sun/Oracle online, including the user
manual, various specific usage guides, and the manual for openBoot
3.1, which is analagous to the bios on a laptop. The unit is
relatively large (205Ibs). It sits on four functioning casters
which make movement on a flat surface relatively easy. Power is
standard 110v wall plug.
Shipping
Shipping is costly, and pickup from
the storage unit is recommended. If the item is shipped, it will be done in the most practical and economical manner possible. The shipping cost will be in addition to the amount paid at auction, obviously. The shipment will be insured for the price paid at auction or the minimum allowed by the provider if that is higher. The unit comes as is and
returns are not accepted.
